The Toys

At this point after writing three blogs in less than 24 hours you all have understood a couple of things: 1) Work is slow and I have little to do (and I say finally); 2) I am having fun on haunting you guys with my silly blog. Yo!

Now I would like to spend a few words about our motorcycles. They are three super size motorbikes: two BMW R1200GS and one Moto Guzzi California Custom 1400.

The two Bimer: suffice to say that in 2007, the BMW R1200GS Adventure model was used by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman for a trip from Scotland to South Africa. The trip was documented in a book and television series Long Way Down. So in other words, this is a hell of a bike. Also, less people know, that in 2014 it was used by Roberto Gatti and Maurizio Motta for another famous trip from San Francisco to New York City. The trip was not documented by BBC and not published in any book, but Roberto did a very good job creating a series of short videos. Ask him for the videos and check yourself.

Moto Guzzi California Custom 1400: California stands for the place where I bought the bike I think, in fact in California. Custom is because it is imported from Italy and went thru customs. Notably, Ewan McGregor is the testimonial of Moto Guzzi and specifically he ran several commercials advertising the California Custom model (see Moto Guzzi website). It seems that mister Ewan McGregor is a kind of everywhere

I call her "Bambolona" because she is a tinny little baby of 300kg!
