Port Arthur

Port Arthur TX is even worse than the picture and Beatty NV. So far this town is winning the tittle of the ugliest place on this road trip
A night view of Port Arthur, day view is worst

Marks of the hail of two days ago

Saturn V

In one of the building we visited there is the Saturn V vector used to launch Apollo to the moon
It is enormous

Houston Space Center

Finally after hours in the crazy traffic. Texans are nuts, they should calm down a lot.
Anyway, we reached Houston Space Center
The main building is kind of disappointing, more for kids and no real thing
This Orion (a fake) spacecraft that will be used to go to Mars
The red tour instead take us inside the space center and that is the real thing
The shuttle cockpit
The training center where the astronauts train on the various spaceships

Relaxing with yoga

Relaxing

SA Mission San Juan

There are four historical missions in SA.
San Juan (below) is the largest

Pokemon-mania

Mauri plays pokemon and I am becoming fascinated about it. Shall I try?
A few sad facts:
  1. At the hotel at fort Stockton TX the woman at the lobby asked me twice if I was 65+ year old, because there was senior discount.
  2. Lela told me that one of her friends when saw a pic of Yen and me commented "Who is the old guy, the father?"
  3. Again in the hotel at Aztec I have been asked if I have AARP card to get a senior discount.

It makes me wonder, But all the yoga I do is good for nothing.

Water and espresso cost more than gas in US. Gas average $2.00 per gallon, espresso average $2.50 with a peak price of $4.30 in Las Vegas. And finally water in most places cost $2.00 per liter
So far, in this road trip
  1. I have got stung by a wasp,
  2. I was robbed of part of my luggage,
  3. I have tooth pain,
  4. lost my gloves,
  5. hail smashed my TomTom GPS,

plus some minor other thing. Will it be all?

300 Miles of Boring Roads

This part of Texas is boring to ride. We are heading to San Antonio.
Having breakfast on the road, somewhere and nowhere in Texas
