This road trip is over. I have mixed feelings about it
On one hand is sad that vacations are finished, but on the other hand this road trip was very challenging and tiring. So it is good to go home.
Now, some figures and facts:
- We crossed 11 states and precisely: California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Florida
- Two times we crossed four states in one day. One day we did Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana. And another day we did four states in 5 minutes. Place was the four states junction. Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah
- Highest point: Red Mountain pass 11,018 ft. (3,358 m) on the Million Dollar highway Colorado. The same day we also did Coal Bank pass elevation 10,640 ft. (3,240 m), Molas pass elevation 10,970 ft. (3,340 m) and Lizard pass elevation 10,500 ft.
- Lowest point: Several, one for all Key West in Florida, sea level
- Total miles: 5,000 Miles approximately
- Longest stage: 320 Miles
- Shortest stage: 150 Miles
- Hottest day: 111F Beatty Nevada
- Coolest day: 66F in Ouray Colorado
- National Parks: Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Zion, Bandelier, White Sands, Alamo Missions, Lafitte wetlands, Gulf Islands, Big Cypress, De Soto, Everglades
- Killed two birds, countless of insects
- Most boring stage from Tallahassee to St Petersburg
- Most fun stage several. My favorite from Yosemite to Beatty Nevada
- Only 5 days dry, the others all wet. One flood in Louisiana ( barely made it through)
- Gas lowest 1.79 in somewhere Louisiana
- Gas Highest 3.39 in South Beach Florida
