LV by night

Some pics

Walking LV

Walking in LV. A group of kayak, this is cool. May be this is the headquarters of the travel company kayak.com. Just kidding it is not
Hotel Cosmopolitan
I do not remember the name of this one...
And this hotel I recall it has something to do with Italy
And this one too
I have seen this city somewhere during the other coast to coast, but the name is slipping my mind

LV Outlet and finally food

Leaving Aria to go to LV Outlets. Have never been there before even thought I went to LV multiple times

Quick stop at the food court, the food court sprays that disgusting water to cool down the place. That is awful.
I need to buy a few items I did not bring with me initially, such as a pair of sweat short and most importantly swimming trunks (which I forgot to bring with me...)

Aria... Di casa mia

Very nice and huge. I need GPS to guide me back to the lobby
Checked in al hotel Aria. Proprio bello e grande.
Bikes rest today. Le moto oggi riposano
It looks like the room of George Clooney in Ocean 11. Or almost...

Day 3 Beatty NV / Las Vegas NV: 30 Miles To Las Vegas

30 miles from Las Vegas. It is hot but dry, perhaps more than 100 F. That's my bike sun bathing and asking "please put me in the shade, I am melting..."
Last miles to Vegas and desert of course. And my finger on the upper left corner of the picture

Tesla In Beatty?

Not sure why there are Tesla charging stations in this small town in the middle of the desert. The point is that this place is too far from SF and unless you have loaded the trunk with a tom of Duracel, you do not stand a chance to get down here. I do not get it...

Dinner At Beatty

What do you laugh gargoyle?
Faccia da schiaffi

Finally I put my teeth on some food. I was so hungry! The Elena and Lela have given up and stayed at the hotel. The boys had dinner here, the place has three tables. One table us and the other two tables... Italians. This is the time of the year Italians have abandoned the country and gone in vacation

Bought a new helmet, like it?

Beatty NV

Forgotten small town in the desert. This place is relatively near Death Valley NP and it is the reason there are a few hotels. The town is like a ghost town. In fact, July is no season for the Death Valley. It is too hot down there with temperature easily above 115 F, And if I am not mistaken is closed to RV and motorcycle traffic

Un posto in c... alla balena

Nevada Eccoci Qua / Nevada We Are Coming

This section of today stage concern me. It is 130 mi long and I do not know my bike gas range.

It is so beautiful and remote
The big sky and open space. Love it.
Robi & Lela
Resting, Mauri & Elena
Yucca tree
Last 50 miles to Beatty NV

Highway 120 And Tioga Pass

Today, we rode Highway 120 and Tioga pass. One of my favorite ride.

Clouds Rest far behind. It is the tallest peak in Yosemite
Tenaya Lake far back
Tioga pass, the road leading to Lee Vining and Mono Lake
Bambolona at Tioga pass

Leaving Yosemite, Got Stung By A Wasp. / Lasciamo Yosemite E Mi Faccio La Bua

Leaving Yosemite and got bitten by a wasp. Crap... A couple of bees managed to fly into my jacket and perhaps not happy of riding style one of them got angry and bite me. The bitch

Day 2 (Yosemite NP CA / Beatty NV): Going to Nevada

Ready for day two. Loading the bikes
Today, it is 280 miles mostly in the Nevada desert. Last night, it has been kind of crazy becuase near the lodge there are no restourant or shops and Robi and I had to go back to the valley and to the general store for some food

Relaxing

Mi guardo il film (Indiana Jones raiders of the lost ark) in piazza e mi rilasso un po'.

Watching Indiana Jones movie in RWC square and trying to relax. Today at work was awful as usually is the last day before vacation. Maybe the last day period, because I might not have a job when I will be back

9/28 La Vigilia / The Eve

Finally 24h to the D-Day. Maurizio and Elena are already here in SF. Roberto and Lela luckily solved the flight problems and will be arriving in few hours at SF tonight,
Tomorrow the meeting point is at dubbelju after 9:00AM and then go! Short stage, but it will be very hot. Right it is 92F/33C and Yosemite (our destination) is at least 10 degrees higher.

Moto Pronta / Bike Ready

I have loaded all my stuff on the bike. One case is empty for Yen.
Yesterday I helped Gianfranco to pick up the new bike in Reno. And then we did a day tour of 600 miles. Warming up for next week, so I know what is looking for me...

Settimana prossima a quest'ora siamo già in strada.

Seven days to the start. All is good.
So far, I managed to avoid to be run over but some crazy driver (just barely). Only yesterday I was almost hit by two cars at different times, both running a red light. All is normal, I should say. Typically injuries or illness happen just before vacations. Lela knows something about it. She just broke her arm, hopefully she'll recover in time.

Back to the point, gears are ready more or less. But for the Guzzi backup key. I do not have the PIN number of my Guzzi and the key can't be cloned. The bike was a Guzzi demo and Guzzi did set the PIN originally, but they are not willing to help.  Monroe Motors and specially Guzzi USA haven't been helpful at all. Outstanding customer satisfaction, just kidding clearly. These electronic keys are just troubles for the bike owners, because for a professional thief are a piece of cake,

Terza, Honda CBR 750 Four.

Quinta, Moto Guzzi V7 Sport. Siamo ancora negli anni 70. E un'altro gioiello italiano
